Our Power Start Program for Transformers business aims to jumpstart your career as a Electrical Engineer with a truly unique journey that will take you across four years program with three different assignments before rolling off into a permanent position. While you are a full-time, permanent member of our engineering team, each assignment will be within a different Transformers factory in Europe for 12 months, starting with an assignment in Łódź, Poland. As electrical design engineer, you will be participating in the research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment and systems.

 

This program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to various technologies and processes within our product line, including cast resin, impregnation, oil, and Resibloc, as well as reactors and transformers for diverse applications and sizes (from a few kVA to tens of MVA). These assignments will provide deep, experiential learning opportunities within our engineering teams and factories. Along the way, we’ll provide you continuous career support with career development in a multinational environment.

Recruitment timeline

Zakres zadań:
  • As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will dimension dry transformers/reactors dielectrically, magnetically, thermally, and mechanically based on the customer specification and factory requirements.
  • Since each transformer/reactor is tailor-made to suit customer needs, you will work closely with the end customer, sales, project management, and mechanical design department when developing an optimal technical solution based on materials and loss optimization.
  • Be involved in both tender and order designs, conduct design reviews with the end customer, and be technical support to our sales department during tender negotiations.
  • Work with the development of the product to continue being a leading manufacturer of power transformers/reactors.
  • Prepare specifications, technical reports, and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats, and general instructions.
  • Review and analyse a variety of engineering data, customer specifications, documents, and reports.
  • Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application and recommend revisions, as appropriate.
  • Participate in the investigation of technical issues and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions.
  • Choose specific technical accessories compatible with the design and customer requests and prepare cost estimation of the design in several stages (as sold, as designed, as built) taking ownership of the design to avoid deviations in costs and performance.
  • Collaborate with sales and customers on transformer design, coordinate system improvements, and provide technical support to manufacturing. Oversee complex projects and conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis in strategic product development. 
Umiejętności:
  • You have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial engineering or engineering physics. Knowledge of electrical engineering is required.
  • You have no more than 2 years of professional experience.
  • Initial experience with simulation tools (Finite Element Method) software is desirable
  • You currently reside in Poland, or you are planning relocation to Poland soon, and you will be able to work on-site in Łódź. Please note that we are not able to offer relocation/visa support for your first rotation.
  • You are willing to relocate for the next three rotations in Europe.
  • You have good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • You are ambitious and curious with wide area of interests.
  • You are a team player who is flexible and open to new ideas.
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English, knowledge of Polish will be an additional asset.
